S.M. Simon

Stephan has worked as an information specialist at the University Library (UB) since November 2022.

He is part of the Research Support department at the UB. As a Research Intelligence Officer in the Research Intelligence (RI) team, he provides information on the academic and societal relevance of research outputs from UM faculties and researchers, as well as on open science.

Stephan has research and teaching experience in political sociology at the Department of Political Sociology at the University of Bamberg, the Bamberg Graduate School of Social Sciences, and the Department of Economic and Organizational Sociology at the University of Mannheim. His research experience and expertise in quantitative and qualitative data analysis help him understand researchers’ perspectives, provide effective support, and produce insightful reports on academic and societal relevance and open science.
