Leïla Kahnt (L.C.)
Leïla is a PhD candidate at the European Law department. Her research, supervised by Prof. Dr. Lilian Tsourdi and Dr. Pauline Melin, examines the accountability of Frontex, with a particular focus on interactions between different actors seeking to hold the agency to account.
Prior to starting her PhD, Leïla completed a six-month traineeship at the EU Delegation to the Council of Europe and was a legal intern at the AIRE Centre, an NGO active in strategic litigation before the European Court of Human Rights. She holds an LL.M. in Globalisation and Law and a B.A. in European Studies from Maastricht University, and spent an exchange period at the University of Salamanca.
