Mr Bram Laschet (A.G.S.)

Bram Laschet is a lecturer and PhD candidate at the Public Law Department. In 2021, he graduated cum laude from Maastricht University, where he completed a Master's degree in Law and Labor, specializing in Labor and Health. Prior to that, he studied at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences and Maastricht University.

Bram is involved in the master's course Gezondheidsrecht I. He is also a guest lecturer at Hasselt University, where he coordinates and teaches the course European Social Law. He also supervises theses in both Maastricht and Hasselt.

Bram's research focuses on the reimbursement of healthcare costs incurred by Dutch insured persons in other European Union member states. To this end, he examines, among other things, whether Dutch reimbursement rules are in line with EU law. He also focuses on practical aspects: how do Dutch judges and health insurers apply these complex rules? Bram compares these practices with EU law as well.
