D.Y. Duan, PhD Candidate
I did my Bachelor’s as a pharmacist in China. I graduated with a Master's degree in Drug discovery as a joint degree from the University of Groningen, Medical University of Gdansk, and Ghent University.
In my master’s thesis, I focused on molecular neurology at the University of Groningen. The project aimed to explore the post-translational modification mechanism of Macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF), which participates in inflammatory and immune responses, at the University of Groningen in a parthanatos in vitro model.
In my PhD research, I will investigate genetic variations associated with rare diseases by applying systems biology and pathway/network analysis
