D. Kanelis, PhD

Dimitris is an Assistant Professor in Financial Accounting. He holds a Ph.D. in Accounting & Finance from Lancaster University, and was a visiting scholar at the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business. Before entering academia, Dimitris worked with Willis Towers Watson in their consulting practice. 

His main research interests focus on the intersection of financial economics and accounting, with a particular focus on how financial reporting affects the risk perceptions of capital market participants and managers.

Dimitris coordinates and teaches bachelor and master-level courses at Maastricht University, and supervises thesis students.
