Prof Dr W.H. Gijselaers
Wim Gijselaers is a retired professor of Educational Research at the School of Business and Economics, Maastricht University, and remains affiliated with the Department of Educational Research and Development. His research interests include Leader Identity Development, Organizational Learning, Team Learning, and Expertise Development. His educational development work focuses on advancing Problem‑Based Learning in Business Education.
He has been teaching in the award‑winning Master’s program Learning and Development in Organizations and serves as a visiting professor at the University of Bern in a post‑graduate program for Health Care Professionals. Wim is a member of several international advisory boards for institutes of higher education in Europe.
He received the Distinguished Career Award from AERA Division I in 2025, and several of his PhD graduates have earned awards for their dissertations and conference papers.
