K. Banihashem

Seyyed Kazem Banihashem, PhD, is an assistant professor at Maastricht University, Maastricht, the Netherlands. He is a recognized scholar and an active contributor to the field of AI in Education with research focusing on the intersection of AI and feedback, assessment, self-regulated learning, and peer learning. His broader research portfolio also includes learning analytics, learning theory, and learning design. He contributes to the academic community as an associate editor and editorial board member of leading journals in educational technology and as an invited speaker. Dr. Banihashem has received competitive research funding from organizations such as the Dutch National Organization for Education Research (NRO) for projects related to AI in Education. Furthermore, he serves on Maastricht University’s AI in Education group, where he helps shape educational vision for the AI era.
