YUFE publishes new report on university–community collaboration

YUFE (Young Universities for the Future of Europe) has released a new report highlighting its efforts to strengthen collaboration between universities and their local communities.

The University–Community Collaboration Report 2022–2025: Strengthening Local Engagement and Global Connections provides an overview of the strategies and initiatives developed across the Alliance to foster civic engagement at both local and European levels.

The report reaffirms the YUFE Community Engagement Declaration 2025–2030, which outlines shared values and a strategic vision for the coming years. It also showcases a range of initiatives such as Service-Learning Help Desks, Community Volunteering Programmes, the Friend Programme, the Community Engagement Network, and the CommUNIty Conference – all designed to create meaningful and inclusive partnerships between universities and their surrounding communities.

In addition to summarising key achievements, the report discusses communication approaches, the measurable impact of community engagement, and lessons learned across the Alliance. It concludes with YUFE’s ambitions and recommendations for sustainable university–community collaboration in the future.
