GROW TEFAF Oncology Symposium & Inauguration

TEFAF Oncology Chair 2022: Prof. dr Alberto Bardelli


You are cordially invited to the TEFAF Oncology Symposium and the Inaugural lecture Cancer initiation and progression of prof. dr. Alberto Bardelli.
 

Prof. dr Alberto Bardelli, Full Professor of the Department of Oncology, Medical School, University of Turin, former President of the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) and director of the Molecular Oncology Programme at the Candiolo Cancer Institute IRCCS, has been appointed as Visiting Professor for the Chair of Oncology in 2022. Professor Bardelli specializes in molecular genetics and personalized therapies. He has authored more than 200 scientific articles of which 100 as an independent investigator and has been listed as Highly Cited Researcher in the field of Clinical Medicine in Clarivate Web of Science. He received many awards, including the ERC Advanced Grant and ESMO Award for Translational Research.

The official Inauguration of professor Bardelli will take place November 2nd, 2022, with an inaugural lecture titled 'Molecular Medicine to Understand and Target Cancer’. Prior to the Inauguration the TEFAF Symposium on Colectoral Cancer will take place with special speakers invited by Professor Bardelli:

  • Mariangela Russo, University of Torino
  • Massimiliano Pagani, IFOM 
  • Daniela Thommen, NKI

Attendance is free but pre-registration is required before October 22nd.

The event is organized in cooperation with the Cancer Research Fund Limburg (Kankeronderzoeksfonds Limburg), which collects money for cancer research at the Maastricht University Medical Centre. Find more information here.
