Maastricht University (UM) researchers working at Aachen-Maastricht Institute for Biobased Materials (AMIBM) have received a substantial financial injection of €4 million to support new developments in biobased materials. This amount has been made available by the Province of Limburg.

During the graduation ceremony, the Menno Knetsch Master Thesis Award has been handed out for the first time to the student of the Master Biobased Materials that has written the best master thesis.

On Monday 18 January, RWTH Aachen University and Maastricht University signed a contract to formalise their structural collaboration in the Aachen Maastricht Institute for Biobased Materials on the Brightlands Chemelot Campus.
