Kick-Off Event of the Young Researchers’ Interdisciplinary Hub on EU Agencies Event (YRIA)

Closed event which can be attended only through invitation.
-

The kick-off event of the Young Researchers’ Interdisciplinary Hub on EU Agencies aims to launch this collaborative initiative and attract new members officially. Driven by young researchers, the Hub is designed to move beyond traditional legal analysis, recognising that the study of EU agencies inherently intersects with diverse fields such as law, politics, economics, public administration, and AI scholarship. By integrating these varied perspectives, the Hub seeks to foster a more comprehensive understanding of the complex role EU agencies play in European governance.

The launch event will begin with the YRIA board introducing the Hub’s vision and objectives. This will be followed by a keynote speech by Prof. Ellen Vos, who will sum up the current state of affairs of EU agencies, serving as the starting point for the research tracks pursued by the Hub. Following this, a networking activity is foreseen to help all members present their research fields. This segment aims to foster a collective understanding of individual expertise, facilitating the early visualisation of potential collaborations. The event also includes two research roundtables for informal discussions on conducting empirical research on EU agencies and exploring interdisciplinary approaches to their study. Ultimately, the event will transition into an informal gathering, encouraging further connections among participants. We envision active participation from all attendees, as a key goal is to develop the Hub across multiple university centers and welcome new ideas.

This is a closed event, which can be attended only through invitation and in-person
