Workshop Human capital and regional Development
Op 16 en 17 Juni 2017 organiseerde het Researchcentrum voor Onderwijs en Arbeidsmarkt (ROA) van de Universiteit Maastrichteen workshop over het onderwerp over menselijk kapitaal en regionale ontwikkeling. Deze mini-conferentie werd geörganiseerd in samenwerking met Neimed, Zuyd Hogeschool en het Institute for Transnational and Euregional cross border cooperation and Mobility / ITEM, SWOL en Provincie Limburg.
Afgelopen jaar vond in Maastricht de workshop ‘Human Capital and Regional Development’ plaats. Door een keur van nationale en internationale onderzoekers werden presentaties gegeven over hoe de regionale ontwikkeling te stimuleren met investeringen in het menselijk kapitaal. Menselijk kapitaal is alles wat we leren door naar school te gaan, door deel te nemen aan cursussen maar ook door informeel te leren van collega’s of on-the-job op de werkvloer. Daarbij kwam ook het verwante begrip sociaal kapitaal om de hoek kijken, wat gaat over de verbinding tussen mensen en het vertrouwen dat nodig is om gezamenlijk activiteiten op te pakken. De resultaten van de workshop zijn voor beleidsmakers samengevat in een Factsheet.
