UM Faculteit der Rechtsgeleerdheid en JFC Brunssum breiden samenwerking uit
Op 25 november, ondertekenden Generaal Erhard Bühler (Commandert JFC Brunssum) en Professor Jan Smits (Decaan Rechtenfaculteit) een Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Dit document bevestigt de al bestaande samenwerking tussen JFCBS en de Faculteit en beoogt deze samenwerking verder uit te breiden met betrekking tot onderwerpen als internationaal humanitair recht, mensenrechten en Europees recht.
The MOU is a symbol of shared intent to strengthen the relationship JFCBS enjoys with local academic institutions. Law students from Maastricht University regularly conduct internships with the legal department at JFCBS for periods of up to four months and an international law seminar took place last year that was jointly organised by JFCBS and the university. The MOU lays the framework to continue such cooperative practices but also explore new ways to assist each other, for example, by regularly providing JFCBS speakers within the legal curriculum.
