On 9 December, the Aachen-Maastricht Institute for Biobased Materials (AMIBM) is opening 1500 m² of new laboratories at the Brightlands Chemelot Campus.

Op 2 november won Rodica Ernst (Udens College) en het META-team bestaande uit Plonie Nijhof (Hermann Wesselink College) en Joris Ghysels (Maastricht University) de NRO-onderwijsprijs voor hun onderzoek naar de zelf ontwikkelde META-methode.
