… remarks Seminar Series 2022/23 This year, the Globalization and Law Network Seminar Series 2022/23 turned out to be a prolific one, counting 20 seminars hosted at the Faculty of Law, with the participation of some of our members and invited guests coming from other Universities. During these seminars, the speakers had the opportunity to present their research, followed by a discussion and Q&A. In September, we had the pleasure to host Dr. Antoine Duval, from Asser Institute, who gave a … Law and the Absurd". This was followed by another seminar with Prof. Reijer Passchier, from Open University and Leiden University, who talked about "Digitalization and the (im)balance of power among the three branches". Afterwards, we welcomed Isadora Dutra Badra Bellati, from the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law Hamburg, who gave a presentation entitled "Coloniality within the Brazilian Constitutional Court decisions: The case of unlimited outsourcing … in the EU” which was convened by Lilian Tsourdi and Marijn van der Sluis. In 2022, Annalisa Volpato and Mariolina Eliantonio organized two conferences: the first on “Transparency and Participation in the Face of Scientific Uncertainty” which was held online in January, and the second one on “EU Agencies before the Court of Justice” at the University of Luxembourg in June.
