My name is Ivo Maessen, 51 years old. I live with my wife and our two daughters in Maastricht.
The last 15,5 years I worked for the “Provincie Limburg” as a projectmanager. The first 10 years with de department Facility Services. Together with the projectteam I was responsible to get te “Gouvernement as sustainable as possible. We went from a F Energylabel tot an A++ label. At the end of te project the entire building has been disconnected from the gas. After the completion of the project I started at another department (Road constructions) within the organization. Again as a projectmanager. I was again also involved in sustainability within this cluster. However, after 5,5 years I have discovered that making buildings more sustainable suits me better and I have a greater passion for it. I am therefore very happy with this wonderful challenge and hope to be able to make a major contribution to making all our beautiful buildings within the university more sustainable.
