UM is developing a proposal to aid refugees
The Executive Board is exploring ways in which Maastricht University can support refugees. A small and focused team commissioned by the Executive Board is looking at current options and what could be offered. ‘We believe, as do so many others within and outside the university, that it is our social responsibility to find a way to help these people in our country and in our region’, said Prof. Martin Paul, president of Maastricht University: ‘At the moment we are weighing various options. We want to develop an action plan within a relatively short time. As soon as we know more, we will, of course, share it with the entire UM community.’
