Understanding Language

We learn a language to understand each other. But how do we learn a language? What happens in our brain and what connection is there between language and cognition (the way in which people perceive, learn and process information)? In this series, created in cooperation with the Language Centre of Maastricht University, we look at different aspects of language. We study what happens in the brain, multilingualism, AI and language, rhythm of language and dyslexia. Whether we also learn to understand each other better through these insights into language remains to be seen.
