ITEM Workshop: 'Naar een Euregionale transactiemarkt in onroerend goed en hypotheekverstrekking'
Op 17 juni 2016, organiseerde het interdisciplinaire Institute for Transnational and Euregional cooperation and Mobility / ITEM van de Universiteit Maastricht een workshop over de Euregionale transactiemarkt in onroerend goed en hypotheekverstrekking.

Na meer dan een halve eeuw van Europese integratie, staat deze markt nog altijd in de kinderschoenen. De overdracht van onroerend goed is vaak een kwestie waar alleen nationale juristen en notarissen bij betrokken zijn. Daarnaast vindt grensoverschrijdende hypotheekverstrekking zelden plaats. Echter kunnen consumenten en bedrijven van de ontwikkeling van een geïntegreerde markt profiteren.
De workshop was gericht op praktische aspecten van grensoverschrijdende transacties van onroerend goed en de financiering daarvan binnen de Euregio Maas-Rijn en is bedoeld om inzicht te krijgen in hoe notarissen, banken en kadasters op dit moment voor de grensoverschrijdende overdracht en financiering van onroerend goed samenwerken.
