Human Rights in an Unequal World: a Luxury or a Necessity
At the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, we take the opportunity to raise some questions about the past, the present and the future of Human Rights. Is the Universal Declaration of Human Rights the end of the beginning, or actually the beginning of the end of Human Rights? Jean-Paul Lehners will plead for a new historiography of Human Rights, insisting on their contextualisation. He will also look at some new topics linked to Human Rights, like social equality, transgender issues or climate change.
