This year the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science has granted 15 projects (of 34 submitted) to start exploring new and challenging ideas in the context of open and online education. As many as 5 of these project proposals have been submitted by colleagues at Maastricht University (UM).

In this online seminar on recent developments in competition law and policy, speakers from China and the EU will present their ongoing or recently published research. It will take place on 7-8 April 2022.

Together with Ewoud Hondius, Andrea Nicolussi, Pablo Salvador Coderch, Christiane Wendehorst and Fryderyk Zoll, Marta Santos Silva co-edited the book “Coronavirus and the Law in Europe”, whose online version was published by Intersentia in August 2020.

Perhaps you might come to the conclusion that in 2020, because of corona, time stood still in our law faculty. Despite setbacks and start-up problems - after all, everything and everyone had to switch to online within a short period of time - a lot of positive things happened last year.

Annual MACCH Conference 2017

In this online M-EPLI roundtable we bring together a group of experts who will each give a presentation about the current position of their country (and surrounding countries) on the enforcement of punitive damages judgments. 

An online M-EPLI roundtable on private international law issues will take place on 14 October 2021, relating to the recognition and enforcement of foreign punitive damages judgements in countries ouside of Europe (e.g., US).
