This study examined (a) whether relationship quality with parents and filial obligation were associated with rewards and stress of helping parents; and (b) whether offspring’s feelings of reward and stress were associated with parents’ psychological … sole-surviving mother with many life problems. Regression analyses are used to examine the personal and family resources that moderate the relationship between mother’s life problems and offspring depres- sive symptoms.
