CETA: Complex En Toch Aanvaard

Het Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement met Canada lag in de periode juli-oktober 2016 bij de nationale staten voor goedkeuring. Nationale parlementen mochten er hun zegje overdoen alvorens de ministers van de EU en de Raad de tekst zouden vaststellen in aanloop naar de ondertekening met de Canadezen. Zoals gebruikelijk bij handelsverdragen zou CETA al voorlopig kunnen worden toegepast, nog voordat het Europees Parlement zich erover had gebogen.
