Professional Career History:
Annechien Deelman is an educationalist and senior project manager with over twenty years of experience in staff development projects mostly concerning educational innovation and improvement.
She is MSc in Health Promotion and Interventions and MSc in Health Professions’ Education. She has worked in various capacity building projects concerning educational innovations such as Problem Based Learning and Student Centered Learning; staff development programs; interactive teaching and learning; linking teaching and learning to the labor market with knowledge institutes in Uruguay, Brazil, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Mozambique, Uganda, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Turkey, Ukraine, Rumania, Poland and Benin. Annechien works part-time for Maastricht University Centre for International Cooperation in Academic Development (MUNDO) implementing and directing capacity building projects at education institutes. She tailor makes and implements short training courses on Problem Based Learning and related issues. She also coaches students in the extra-curricular program ‘Premium’ and is chair to the UM strategic team for Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries. She has a good working knowledge of Portuguese, Spanish, French and English.
