Yf Reykers (Y.)

Yf Reykers is Associate Professor in Internationale Relaties aan de Universiteit Maastricht. Hij is ook programmadirecteur van de Research Master European Studies en Co-Editor van het academisch tijdschrift Contemporary Security Policy. 

Zijn onderzoek richt zich op Europese veiligheid en defensie, met bijzondere aandacht voor ad-hoc coalities en nieuwe vormen van defensiesamenwerking. Zijn huidige onderzoek richt zich op het ontstaan, de organisatie en het strategische gebruik van coalities en nieuwe vormen van samenwerking in de Europese en internationale veiligheid. 

Zijn werk is verschenen in toonaangevende tijdschriften, waaronder Cooperation and Conflict, Contemporary Security Policy, European Security, International Affairs, International Peacekeeping, Journal of European Integration, Journal of European Public Policy, Parliamentary Affairs en Third World Quarterly. Hij is co-editor van het boek ‘Multinational Rapid Response Mechanisms: From Institutional Proliferation to Institutional Exploitation’ (2019, Routledge Global Institutions Series).

Yf behaalde zijn doctoraat aan de KU Leuven. Hij was gastonderzoeker aan het Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies van het European University Institute, het Center on International Cooperation van New York University en Aarhus University.
