It attaches great value to collegiality, equality, safety and integrity. This is one reason why UM has established a position of university Ombuds officer. The Ombuds Officer can contribute to open communication at UM, which can positively affect social safety at the university. The Ombuds Officer is independent and is an unbiased contact. A Notifier can ask the Ombuds Officer for advice on a specific matter in an approachable way.
