Studium Generale biedt een programma aan van lezingen, debatten, talkshow, lezingenreeksen en films. Daarnaast is er theaterbezoek voor studenten met een fikse korting en het tweejaarlijkse PAS Festival.

De tiende verjaardag van het gratis PAS Festival valt dit jaar samen de viering van het 50-jarig bestaan van de Universiteit Maastricht. Dubbel feest, dus we pakken extra uit met een tweedaags programma op 4 en 5 september. Op 3 september is er een feestelijke opening. Bijzonder is de uitbreiding van het kinderprogramma op zaterdagmiddag.

In this lecture series, we explore how different scientific disciplines (e.g. legal psychology, forensic psychology, criminology and forensic (epi)genomics) can contribute to the evaluation and interpretation of evidence in court. Each lecture highlights the opportunities and challenges that arise when science meets the law.

Conspiracy thinking plays an increasing role in processes of polarisation and radicalisation. Van Prooijen highlights how conspiracy theories can lead to a black-and-white world in which one's own group is seen as morally superior, while other groups are demonised. Conspiracy theories can therefore contribute to violations of the rules, a rejection of democracy, illegal forms of protest, populism and sometimes even violence.
