Dankzij een harttransplantatie heeft Rogier Veltrop, onderzoeker aan de Universiteit Maastricht, een levensbedreigende ziekte overleefd. Hij wil zijn ‘bonusjaren’ optimaal benutten door bij te dragen aan een nieuwe behandeling van hart- en vaatziekten. Zijn bijzondere promotieonderzoek is veelbelovend.
