Tuition fees for the 2026/27 academic year
IPKM Fulltime tuition fee: €21.500,-
IPKM Parttime fee: €25.100-
Reduced tuition fee for UM alumni*: € 18.900,- (full-time), or €22.100,- (part-time)
*Alumni meeting the IPKM entry requirements who have successfully completed any of the following:
UM Alumni (Ba or Ma) that meet the IPKM entry requirements;
The ERA/Maastricht European Patent Litigation Certificate (EPLC);
A minimum of two EQE Exam Training modules
A minimum of two IPKM Certificate Courses
The IPKM was accredited by the European Patent Office for EQE remission shortly after its inception. The current accreditation will have to be renewed for academic years 2025/26 and onward. IPKM MSc graduates will be granted a reduction of six months in the duration of the period of professional activity defined in Article 11(2) of the Regulation on the European qualifying examination (REE, Supplementary publication 2 - OJ EPO 2019). IPKM MSc graduates wishing to prepare for the exam for European Patent Attorney by taking the EQE-(pre-)Exam Training also offered at Maastricht University, receive a discount of 20% off the EQE-(pre-)Exam Training fees.
