… Community Zoekresultaten Like a number of other universities in the Netherlands and elsewhere in the world, UM has its own Open Science Community (OSCM), a bottom-up organisation supported by ten volunteers, including seven ambassadors within the faculties. … 17 februari 2020 Pure back online Zoekresultaten We are happy to announce that Maastricht University and MUMC+ have a completely new Pure. Pure and associated services, such as the Research Publications portal, have been back in operation since Monday 17 February. Due to the cyber attack end December, Pure was not available for users and visitors for weeks. We have used the downtime to continue the planned migration to the new cloud platform without additional inconvenience for you. As a result, Maastricht University now uses the latest version of Pure with improved user experience and new functionalities. Pure to a new platform Our research information system Pure has moved to the cloud platform of the supplier. The move guarantees the best accessibility and performance. … 20 mei 2020 Free access and open access publishing for UM & MUMC Zoekresultaten The Association of Universities in the Netherlands (VSNU), the Dutch Federation of University Medical Centers (NFU), the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) and Elsevier announced that they have entered into a national agreement. Maastricht University and MUMC+ participate in this contract that runs until 2025. The agreement includes read access to all publications in the scientific Elsevier journals and open access (OA) publication of peer-reviewed articles not only in subscription journals (hybrid) but also in multiple full OA journals. And affiliated researchers don’t pay article processing charges (APC) anymore. Also, Elsevier and partners will jointly develop innovative services for valuing and disseminating knowledge. The VSNU has prepared an FAQ, and the contract has been made public on its website. … Elsevier and UM scholars can publish Open Access in all Elsevier journals – Full OA and Hybrid – without paying APC. The Association of Universities in the Netherlands (VSNU), The Netherlands Federation of University Medical Centres (NFU), The Dutch Research Council (NWO) and information and analytics business Elsevier have reached a framework agreement. The framework agreement, valid 1 January 2020 through 1 May 2020, provides Dutch researchers with full reading access to all Elsevier journals and allows (unlimited) open access publishing in all Elsevier journals. On top of that, a range of pilots will be undertaken to develop tools and services in support of (open) science and research intelligence. VSNU, NFU, NWO and Elsevier acknowledge that especially the development of these new services has been cause for concern in the community.
