Het artikel over zijn onderzoek is een van de ‘most shared critical reviews of Epilepsia’ in 2017. Award CaRe is de Landelijke Onderzoekschool waarin het VUMC en het AMC uit Amsterdam, het Nivel uit Utrecht, het RadboudUMC uit Nijmegen en het MUMC+ uit Maastricht participeren. De CaRe Award wordt jaarlijks uitgereikt door een onafhankelijke jury en de directie van CaRe aan de promovendus die het beste proefschrift in het voorafgaande jaar geschreven heeft.
