She then spent several years working for ING in the Netherlands before pursuing an international career with various employers. She has been head of human resources at the Dubai office of Maersk Line since 2015. Medical student Victoria von Salmuth was interning at the local hospital, where a young mother had given birth to premature triplets. But the little babies weren’t growing: the mother wasn’t … women and children in the maternity ward. Now, two and a half years later, the newly graduated doctor recently returned to Shirati to see how the project is going. Victoria von Salmuth (1989), born in Heidelberg, launched the Shirati Food Programme in 2015 following her internship in the Tanzanian hospital.
