This PhD dissertation investigates the extent to which people with different personal characteristics use the Internet, health-related websites and online interventions. The results show that at-risk groups, such as people with lower educational attainment, make less use of the Internet, health-related websites and interventions aimed at improving 'healthy' behaviours, which can lead to health disparities between different social classes.
