Maastricht Science Programme
Maastricht Science Programme offers students who are interested in a teaching career the opportunity to follow an educational minor. You must ask the Board of Examiners for permission to follow this minor. Before doing so, it is good to know that:
- The minor is in Dutch: level NT-2/B2 is required (national requirements for teacher training)
- Before being allowed to take the minor, you should have successfully passed enough biology, chemistry or physics modules (be at least in your 4th or 5th semester), because you need to have sufficient professional knowledge to be able to teach (your sufficiency will be checked by MSP-coordinators)
- The minor is a full time activity, which means you should have past most, if not all, your modules up until taking the minor
- You will get a Dutch teaching qualification when you pass the minor and successfully graduate. This qualification is recognized in the Netherlands and Flanders.
Please note: you can sign up for the Educatieve Minor 1 March 2022 up and until 31 May 2022.
Also keep in mind that the Educational minor has a limited number of available places.
