E.A. Boudewijns

Esther is a PhD student at the department of Family Medicine. Her research focusses on the development and evaluation of a tool that assesses and visualises burden of disease (COPD, asthma, and type 2 diabetes). It is aimed to provide personalised care, to facilitate shared decisions, and to stimulate self-management. 

 

Besides, she is involved in research to accelarate access to clean cooking in low-income and middle-income countries. She also works as a coordinator for the Dutch SPARK, which is a partnership between Dutch organisations that focus on clean and efficient cooking. In 2020, she participated in the Young Expert Programme, which is initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency.
