How does art reflect our community? How does our community express itself through art? Barbara Strating is the new curator of the Arts and Heritage Commission at Maastricht University. She succeeds Mieke Derickx, who is retiring after more than two decades in the role. Here they discuss curiosity and wonder, Patient Zero and art as a meditation on our collective memory.

On 14 June 2022, Radboud University in Nijmegen and Maastricht University signed a collaboration agreement for both education and research.

Maastricht University and Radboud University’s teacher training academies are to intensify their cooperation to address the shortage of secondary school teachers. The joint workplace education programme will make it easier for existing and aspiring teachers in Limburg to obtain a teaching qualification via an academic teacher training programme. The new programme will start in September 2022.

UCMSA Universalis is the Study Association of University College Maastricht. All UCM students are automatically members of Universalis upon their entry into UCM and they are encouraged to engage in the social and academic life of the UCM community.
