K.C. Williams

Keith Williams is a junior lecturer with MSI and graduate of the master’s program in Sustainability Science and Policy. In addition to a bachelor’s degree in Global Politics and Economics he has completed courses from the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) in wastewater management, nutrient cycling, and biodiversity planning in response to climate change.
 
Keith has several years of experience as an educator teaching in the United States in addition to a decade as a facilitator, coach, and trainer for intercultural exchange programs between the US, EU, and MENA regions in partnership with ERASMUS+ and the UN-Habitat. He has held several fellowships before coming to MSI, most recently he aided in the creation of a pilot program connecting first year college students in the era of COVID-19.
 
Keith has worked on a diverse set of projects throughout his career.

  • He has managed public land, water resources, and endangered species for the US Bureau of Reclamation.
  • He has retrofitted kits, presentation materials, and program tools for disaster relief services with the California Central Coast chapter of the American Red Cross.
  • As a master’s student he worked as a sustainability consultant on 2 projects, one for the Municipality of Maastricht and another for the Province of Limburg.

 
He is passionate about environmental protection, coastal and urban resilience, and adaptation to climate change.
