Roger is an alumnus from Maastricht University where he obtained his MSc in Health Sciences with a thesis focusing on Molecular Cell Biology. Roger moreover obtained his PhD from the Department of Biochemistry & Cardiovascular Research Institute Maastricht at Maastricht University where he researched the post-translational carboxylation of vitamin K-dependent proteins.
During his professional career Roger also obtained his MBA from Nyenrode Business University in the Netherlands, and his Executive Diploma in Managing Medical Product Innovation from Copenhagen Business School in Denmark.
Being a senior leader and coach with over 22 years of international experience in the biopharmaceutical industry in EMEA and APAC regions, Roger held various senior sales-, marketing-, medical- and operational positions at blue chip pharmaceutical companies as well as his own Consultancy. Currently he holds the position of Franchise Head Acute Care with AstraZeneca in the Netherlands.

Roger is married, has two children both studying in Amsterdam (nobody is perfect), and enjoys outdoor activities such as running (finisher of the New York City marathon), skiing and playing golf.
