Roselinde Kessels (R.)

Welcome! I am a tenured assistant professor of statistics and health econometrics at the Department of Data Analytics and Digitalization of Maastricht University. I have obtained my PhD at KU Leuven in Belgium. I teach basic and advanced analytical courses to business and economics students using the free programming language and environment for statistical computing and graphics R. Before joining Maastricht University, I was a postdoctoral researcher at North Carolina State University (US) and at the University of Antwerp sponsored by the Flemish Research Foundation (FWO), and also a lecturer at the Universit√© Libre de Bruxelles and the University of Amsterdam.

My specialties lie in discrete choice experiments, experimental design, choice modeling, data science, time series and (health) econometrics. In my research I often make use of JMP statistical software from SAS Institute because it is fun to work with. I have collaborated with a dozen PhD students, published in many leading journals (see my ORCID publication list), and consulted in the public and private sector.
