Aodhán Kelly (A.F.)

Aodhán Kelly is a Postdoctoral Researcher at FASoS.

His research looks at the role of digitalisation in scholarship, education and cultural heritage with focuses on digital scholarly editions, technological innovation in higher education and a broader interest in digital inclusivity.

He is a co-founder and Research Coordinator of The Plant (Playground and Laboratory for New Technologies).

He was a Marie Skłodowska–Curie research fellow within the DiXiT network and has a PhD in Digital Humanities from the University of Antwerp (2017) where he defended a thesis on "Disseminating digital scholarly editions of textual cultural heritage".

He completed a PostDoc in Technology-enhanced Learning at Open Universiteit and respresented the university on two Dutch national research programmes: Digital Society in the learning and education expert group; and the Versnellingplan in the zone Evidence-Informed Innovations using ICT.

Aodhán also has considerable experience working outside of academic roles in the area of digital publishing at the London School of Economics, International Baccalaureate, and Adam Matthew Digital. He has extensive experience from these roles in the creation of online learning resources and in the digitisation of historical archive materials.

Aodhán is currently engaged in teaching for both the BA Digital Society programme and the MA Media Studies: Digital Cultures.
