Maximilian Rossmann (M.M.)

I am a post-doc (philosophy & digital methods) in the ERC project “NanoBubbles” and study how hypes and narratives influence technology development and hinder error-correction in science. I examine linguistic and technical factors that make stories disseminate and how people use these stories to foreground and make sense of facts and data in their debates, agendas, life-courses, and actions – even when considering them mere speculation. My aim is to foster a more literate and responsible way of dealing with facts, promises, and imaginative resources to strenghten democracy and sustainability.

Before I joined the ERC NanoBubbles project at FASoS, I worked on the Vision Assessment of 3D printing, microalgae nutrition, and nuclear waste management at the Institute for Technology Assessment (ITAS) in Karlsruhe.
