For the 2024 Historicidagen, hosted in Maastricht on 22-24 August 2024, and focusing on the theme of ‘Undisciplined History’, core members of the Law and History network participated with a panel titled ‘Undisciplining Legal History: In Search of Synergies’. 

'Connected by Heritage', a project in which Radboud University and Maastricht University are working together, is intended to bring more attention to the masterpieces from the heritage collections of both universities in the coming year. In addition, library staff will be trained in the sustainable digital accessibility of heritage. There will also be a fellowship for a researcher and artist in residence. The entire project is financed from the collaboration of Radboud University and Maastricht University.

Teacher's Day is a special occasion to express appreciation for teachers and educational staff. As an educational institution, UM dedicates extra attention on this day to its teaching staff, its educational programmes, and educational innovation.

Sid Penders is helping childcare organisations across Zuid-Limburg to implement healthy practices. As a Health Sciences/Global Health alumnus and PhD candidate, Sid monitors and evaluates a learning network of childcare organisations. The member organisations join forces and learn from each other regarding healthy practices and policies. These best practices are implemented in childcare organisations to benefit the quality of care for children in their earliest development years.

The YUFE Alliance celebrated a significant milestone on Friday, September 20, 2024, with a festive office-warming ceremony at its new Brussels premises. The event was a celebration of the unity and collaboration among YUFE’s 10 partner universities, European Commission representatives, and stakeholders, who came together to honour the alliance’s achievements and look forward to a promising future.

It’s happened every May and June for the last 15 years. Groups of 60 pupils—Year 7 students from primary schools around the region—filing into UM lecture halls to get acquainted with academia. What happens if you break the law? How are new medicines developed? The lectures are pitched in an accessible way, from the doctor’s coats to real-life ambulances.
