Within this project more effective research methods with human beings are developed and used, which reduces animal testing.

Ron Heeren appointed to Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences
28-04-2021The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) has appointed Professor Ron Heeren as a member. Heeren is distinguished professor of Molecular Imaging at Maastricht University (UM) and scientific director of the Maastricht MultiModal Molecular Imaging institute (M4I).

Two Vici grants for Maastricht researchers
14-04-2021Two researchers from Maastricht University (UM) have each received a Vici grant of € 1.5 million from the Dutch Research Council (NWO). Professor Chantal Nederkoorn (Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience) and Professor Lorenzo Moroni (MERLN Institute for Technology-Inspired Regenerative Medicine) will use the grants over the next five years to conduct research and develop or expand their own research groups.
