Bachelor's Open Day on 24 February 2018
Find out more about one of the most international universities in Europe, experience our unique approach to teaching, immerse yourself in your programme of choice, and explore our beautiful city.
Maastricht University (UM) is known for its International Classroom and unique, small-scale approach to teaching: Problem-Based Learning (PBL) emphasises skills relevant to the labour market of the 21st century, such as independence, critical thinking, initiative, curiosity and creativity as well as soft skills. Under the guidance of our experienced tutors, you analyse and solve relevant, complex problems in small international groups.
Almost all of our bachelor’s programmes are taught in English and we have an extensive institutional network that allows you to study abroad. We have more than 100 different nationalities among our students and staff.
Known around the Netherlands for its savoir vivre and beautiful historic centre, Maastricht is a lively and welcoming city on the convergence of Dutch, German, and French-speaking regions. Because of its intimate scale, almost everything is within cycling distance. Home to a university, a university of applied science, a conservatory as well as arts, theatre, and design academies, Maastricht boasts a large and diverse international student community and a vast variety of cultural and social opportunities.
But don’t take our word for it – come visit us and explore Maastricht.
