You can register using the digital registration list on the right hand side of the screen.
If a group or training meeting is full, the registration list becomes a waiting list. So always use this list to register, even if this group or training is full at that moment. This way, you get priority ahead of the students who register after you.
If someone cancels, then the first person on the waiting list takes their place.
Changing or cancelling your registration
If an activity takes place multiple times, you may not be absent more than once without a good reason. The first meeting you have to be present, otherwise you will miss too much information to attend the rest of the training. If you are absent more than once, you may no longer participate in the group. The participation fee will not be refunded.
Make sure you cancel on time. If you fail to do so, you will be charged administration costs.
- You may make changes or cancel at no charge up to 7 days before the activity starts
- If you cancel your appointment 7 days or less before the activity you will pay €10
- If you do not show up for an appointment and you did not cancel, you have to pay €25 + the participation fee

Back on track
Back on track is a self-help group for students who find it difficult to concentrate on their studies and tend to procrastinate. The group ensures that you improve your study behaviour and that you use an effective method for studying. You will meet 2-3 times, with a trainer present, and work in groups. You will get tips and practical ideas for more structure and discipline. Furthermore, there is always opportunity to discuss your personal study problems that are not specifically related to a faculty or courses. This is an intensive group in which being present and actively participating are conditions for success.
Duration: 6 meetings of 2 hour
Language: Dutch and English
Do you have trouble saying no? Hate speaking in public? In this training, you develop an assertive attitude and you work on your self-confidence. You learn to communicate better and to present yourself better. Setting boundaries is also an important part of the training.
Coping with loss and mourning group
Have you lost someone and do you want to put things in order and learn to let go? Then the coping with loss group may be something for you. It does not matter if your experience is about recent events or about past events that still haunt you. We speak English in this group. If you prefer to speak Dutch then please make an individual appointment.
Duration: 4 meetings of 2 hours
Strengthen your thoughts
We make use of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), which fosters the development of good coping strategies. The focus is on addressing behavioural problems and negative thought patterns.
CBT starts from the assumption that it is not an event itself that give rise to negative feelings and behavioural patterns, but rather the way in which we think about it. The key is to change the way you approach and interpret these negative thoughts. This gives you a more objective view of your own feelings and perceptions, which helps you to combat the negativity and change the behaviour.
More energy, less worrying
Do you sometimes lie awake for hours, thinking about the same things over and over? Do you worry so much that it is hard to concentrate on your studies? Does the constant stream of negative thoughts stop you from feeling happy?
We all worry sometimes – that is what makes us human. But if it is starting to take over your life, this course may be for you.
The training gives you insight into your worrying behaviour and your brain. Through science-based techniques, such as attention training and relaxation exercises, you learn to recognise the thought patterns that lead to worrying and to address them more quickly.
The art of imperfection
You like to have it all together. You are calling the shots and are in control. You work very hard but it never seems enough or the work is never done. Maybe you have perfectionistic characteristics and it is starting to get to you.
Although working hard is a good trait, overdoing it can also cause a lot of tension and even result in stress-related problems.
In this training you learn how to deal with your ‘perfectionism’. Letting go and trying to do things less perfect. Just okay can be good enough. You will get more insight into the underlying causes of perfectionism and you’ll learn what to do to find a better balance in life to change perfectionism into optimalism.
Short description of the group workshops
Workshop Stress management
Do you find it difficult to find a good balance between study and leisure time? In this workshop you look for your own stress signals and you get tools to keep stress under control. You also learn in what way good time management helps you to find a better balance between studying hard and feeling well.
Mindfulness-meditation is a skill that takes considerable practice. This workshop provides a first introduction. Mindfulness teaches you to be present and attent in the here and now, so that you are aware of your current experience. Mindfulness teaches you to have an accepting attitude while doing that. It helps you to take some distance from the issues you worry about. An effect can be that your mind becomes calmer and that you feel more relaxed.
Boost your self-confidence
Do you think your self-confidence needs a boost? Do you notice that your self-confidence makes it harder for you to reach your goals? Then sign up for this workshop. During this workshop you will learn how to be more aware of your personal emotions and characteristics. You will get tools to give your personal life a positive boost.
