Stars@Work: Creating New Work Practices that Work (Lecture in Dutch)

Why is it that when we try to unearth the secrets of success behind a company, a unit or a group, that we inevitably believe in the power of talented stars? If it isn’t the skills or intelligence of its workers, then which human factors contribute to achieving high levels of innovation, creativity, work engagement, or quality? This presentation addresses core issues enabling people to understand barriers and accelerators for modern work practices. It shows the importance of risk taking and the willingness to develop and share expertise when working in teams or under conditions of uncertainty. Examples from research and work practices will be discussed, showing that the creation of the right conditions in the work environment may result in increased quality at work. (Lecture is in Dutch).
