The 2018 IPCC Report On Global Warming of 1.5 ºc
In 2018, the IPCC published a report on whether we can still limit global warming to 1.5C, and what the consequences would be. This lecture discusses how the report came about and how climate politics meets climate science within the IPCC. It also discusses the results of the report and the implications on the level of climate negotiations internationally and in the Netherlands.
Heleen de Coninck is one of the main authors of the IPCC report that explains the impacts of global warming of 1.5C and how we can prevent them.
