Noord-Limburg Region Scholarship

The Noord-Limburg Region – consisting of the Dutch municipalities of Venlo, Horst aan de Maas, Venray, Peel en Maas, Beesel, Gennep, Mook en Middelaar en Bergen – is responsible for implementing Quality of Life as a component in the Greenport Venlo programmes as well as the ‘Talent’ programme as a component of the Region Deal Noord-Limburg.

The primary motivation behind Quality of Life is to develop a high-quality living and working environment that inspires young, highly educated and highly skilled workers to continue to live and work in the Noord-Limburg region. The main objective of the Talent programme is to structurally strengthen the innovative power of professional and research practice from an infrastructure where education, professional practice and government work together on solutions for current issues and issues in the future, and to attract, train and retain talent for the North Limburg Region.

The challenge is to expand the higher education package and develop a competitive labour market with sufficiently qualified personnel at the secondary vocational, higher vocational and university levels. For these reasons, the Noord-Limburg Region is offering scholarships to Maastricht University students for a two-year master's in Health Food Innovation Management offered by the UM Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences (FHML) at Campus Venlo and the master's programme in Global Supply Chain Management and Change at the UM School of Business and Economics (SBE).

The Global Supply Chain Management and Change master is a one-year master's programme entirely taught in English at Maastricht University, Campus Venlo.
