The data science workshop series is, a series of hands-on workshops, is offered by the Institute of Data Science at Maastricht University and its partners at Maastricht University, Brightlands Health Campus and Brightlands Smart Services Campus.
IDS strives to create a “one stop shop” for Data Science education at UM
Why?
Together we aim to enhance the capability and connectivity of the data science community in the south Limburg region through a set of recurring, low-barrier, hands-on seminars and workshops.
Who?
The target audience are both academics (PhDs, post-docs, staff, faculty) and professionals who wish to get exposure and deepen their knowledge and skills in data science. The target audience should be familiar with basic programming and execution at the command-line.
When?
The Data Science Workshop series will be launched soon! The first workshop “Docker for Data Science” will be held on March 6, 2018. Please have a look at our event calendar for specific dates of the upcoming workshops!
How?
The Data Science Workshops Series are free to attend, but please register for each workshop, as seats are limited. However, we would kindly like to ask for your contribution to the Data Science Community at Maastricht University in return for participation in our workshops. Please let us know how you would like to contribute to our Community upon registration, for instance with helping in organizing events & activities, marketing & promotion activities or otherwise. Your help to further build and develop our community is greatly appreciated!
