New: Digital Society bachelor’s programme
Maastricht University is offering a new bachelor’s programme as of 1 September 2019: Digital Society. Do you want to better understand the history of the digital revolution and the impact of digitalisation on contemporary society, culture and politics? Then come to Maastricht.
Maastricht University received the green light from the NVAO (Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders) mid May. NVAO called it a ‘timely initiative, answering to a clear societal need.’
From the report: “The panel was impressed by the way in which the vision of the Bachelor Digital Society was elaborated in the intended learning outcomes and the profile of the programme. The panel applauds that the profile and vision ‘spot on’ cover problems in our current digital society. The new programme is well embedded in proper ownership in the faculty and it is developed by a passionate core team of experts. Because of their expertise and passion, the core team has the potential to become internationally leading in this field.”
